1939 | Gert Beentjes starts a scheduled service Egmond-Heiloo-Alkmaar. |

1968 | The brothers Gerard and Clemens take over the scheduled service and buy three other unprofitable ones. They transform these into two profitable scheduled services.

1972 | The first driver is employed. Soon there will be more. |
1973 | Move from the center of Egmond Binnen to an old bulb barn outside of Egmond. However, the city puts a stop to the desired new building…(see newspaper clipping).

1984 | Acquisition Olympic Transport Haarlem. |
1985 | Acquisition Ge v.d. Bosch Vervoercentrum. Both acquired companies are merged into the building of Ge v.d. Bosch at the Heringaweg in Haarlem.

1987 | Move from Egmond to the Pascalstraat in Heerhugowaard. |
1987 | Our most special transport as an England specialist: elephant and tijgers from the Netherlands to the zoo in Southampton!

1992 | Construction of a complete new building at the Kuppersweg in Haarlem (see photos). |
1996 | Relocation of the branch Heerhugowaard from Pascalstraat to the Maxwellstraat (see newspaper clippings).

1996 | Award first ISO (9002) certification quality management. |
1998 | Purchase commercial properties Kuppersweg 7-15 in Haarlem to increase storage facilities.

2005 | Take-over of shares by the third generation Beentjes. |
2006 | Purchase properties Kuppersweg 87-89 in Haarlem for extra storage area and rental of office space.

Today | Beentjes Transport employs about 90 people and owns 60 tractors and 42 trailer units. Weekly we have an average of about 7500 shipments within the Netherlands and 30 vehicles make a return trip to England. And always right on time!
